LAHORE - Lahore police have collected 16 long machine-guns as part of the government’s initiative to provide latest weaponry and modern technology to country’s largest law enforcement agency.

A police spokesperson said on Saturday that properly trained-policemen of the anti-terrorism wing would be equipped with these long machine guns. He further said that police were being provided with modern weapon and ammunition on the directions of Lahore CCPO Amin Wains and DIG (Operations) Haider Ashraf.

Lahore operations police chief hoped that long machine-guns would help police effectively battle the militants during special operations.
