PPP protecting minorities’ rights: Shah

KARACHI  - Sindh Minister for Information, Labour and Transport Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that PPP is taking concrete steps to protect the rights of all minorities including Christian community.   

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had already directed for the speedy development programmes for minorities.   

This he said while addressing at annual get together ceremony organised with families, staff and faculty of Christian community by Hamdard University at campus.   

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that Christian are also part of nation and they are playing an important and positive role for the development of nation and the country at all level, they are not separated with us they would be encouraged by the government and PPP through cooperation and fully assistance. 

He lauded the services of Hakim Muhammad Saeed in the fields of education, health, human welfare and well being of poor, has said that above the colour, caste and religion he had contributed a lot.  He further said that Madinatul Hikmat had taught multi lingual education to segment of the society and provided services to them.  

The minister has also lauded the services of Sadia Rashid for continuing the work of Hakim Saeed.  

Earlier, Prof Frederick John, Vice Principal, Saint Thomas Theorical Seminary, Registrar Dr Walududdin Ahmed and others also highlighted the services of Hakim M Saeed, University and role Christian community in the development of nation and country. They also praised the role of Sadia Rashid for spreading the message and expand the network under love Pakistan build Pakistan slogan of Hakim M Saeed. 

Later, the minister information along with Chancellor University and Ex Special Assistant to CM and Secretary Information PPP Minority Anthony Naveed performed the cake cutting ceremony on the Christmas and New Year celebrations has congratulated the participants and made special.
