Islamabad -  Pakistan Television Corporation sacked several employees for possessing fake degrees on directives of Federal Secretary Information and MD PTV Sardar Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera.

The sacked employees were performing duties in different sections including finance, information technology and administration, a press release issued on Wednesday said.  The action has been taken against these persons after start of practical measures against corruption, malpractices and cheating in the corporation, the press release added.

The degrees of the sacked employees were declared fake by the relevant educational boards. The process of verification of educational degrees continued as the PTV MD expressed the determination to ensure merit policy in the corporation. He declared that elimination of corruption from PTV was his top priority and further steps would be taken for bringing stability in the institution.
