Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday said that the shelters for political orphans cannot become national parties, Dunya News reported.
Marriyum Aurangzeb was responding to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry in which he stated that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a regional party.
Marriyum Aurangzeb went on to say that national political party cannot created by patchwork nor they come into by manipulating RTS and added that calling a shelter for political orphans as a national political party requires shamelessness like yours.
She said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is a "temporary shelter" for the turncoats and not a national political party and soon these turncoats become homeless.
Earlier in the day, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad, stated that, “Neither we will be blackmailed nor give relief to opposition in cases.”
He said that they will not refrain from taking any measures in terms of accountability, adding that a discussion for making amendments in accountability laws is possible. Prominent parties should consider the aforesaid offer, he went on to say.
The information minister even explained that the opposition parties are merely influential to particular boundary or area stating that, “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is a regional party whereas Pakistan People s Party (PPP) is a party of only Sindh.”
He further stated that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) absolute win in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) local bodies election is very unfortunate for PML-N and PPP.
