PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has stressed need for a resolution to matters pertaining to transformer and irrigation uplift scheme Khwesghi, Nowshera, in order that people of the area should benefit from provision of electricity and irrigation. He was chairing a high level meeting that was convened particularly to look for a solution to the aforementioned problem. Participants of the meeting were Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Secretary Irrigation Khalid Pervez, Chief Executive Pesco Tariq Sadozai and ANP, President Nowshera, Ihrar Khattak.The CM said that lessening people’s problems regarding electricity and irrigation was their priority. He directed Pesco chief and Secretary Irrigation for workable solution on emergency basis to these problems. Pesco Chief assured full support in this connection.Earlier, Pesco Chief Tariq Sadozai called on CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and discussed his new responsibilities and matters pertaining to laodshedding. He assured all out efforts for lessening people problems.Chairing Board of Governors meeting of Fazal Haq College Mardan, the CM approved three years extension in service of its Principal Sultan Zeb. Participants of the meeting were ACS Attaullah Khan, Secretary Finance Sahibzada Saeed, Secretary Higher Education Farah Hamid, DCO Mardan and Principal of the college. The principal thanked the CM and members Board of Governors and assured all out efforts for betterment of the college and improvement in standard of education.Meanwhile, a meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Standing Committee on Irrigation Department was held here with MPA Malik Tamash Khan in the chair on Tuesday. Besides others, the meeting was attended by MPAs Atteeq-ur-Rehman, Sikandar Irfan, Muhammad Ali Khan, Aurangzeb Khan, Muhammad Zamin Khan Officers and officials of the irrigation department.The meeting discussed matters pertaining to the irrigation department with special reference measures to the protection of floods, posting and appointment of Revenue Officers in irrigation department, water flow and building of Bodnai Nullah and overhead bridge on Bodnai Nullah.The Committee ordered the presence of provincial minister and secretary irrigation in the next meeting in order to discuss matters of appointment of Revenue inspectors in irrigation department and important steps being taken for flood protection in the ADP, especially for the protection of population from floods and overhead bridge near Bodnai Nullah at Peshawar.
