Adviser to the PM on internal affairs Rehman Malik Wednesday directed the Interior Secretary to hammer out comprehensive strategy to ensure security for the NATO supply containers.

Chairing a meeting in the wake of government’s decision to restore Ground Lines of Communication (GLOCs) here in Islamabad, Malik issued directives to the provincial governments and concerned Inspector Generals to beef up the security for the containers.

On this occasion, the former federal minister gave necessary instructions to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chief regarding communication arrangements for the NATO containers and directed all law-enforcement agencies to cooperate for the purpose.

Various high-ups including the FBR Chairman, Additional Secretary Interior Ministry and IG Motorway attended the meeting.
