LAHORE – The PTI leaders demanded of the protesting young doctors to end the strike on humanitarian grounds and they would take all measures for acceptance of their demands.

PTI City chapter leaders, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, Zaheer Khokhar and Ishtiaq Malik expressed these views while addressing a press conference at party office on Tuesday.

They claimed that millions of people of Punjab had been suffering due to stubborn attitude of the provincial chief executive who mishandled the issue of striking doctors.

They demanded of the provincial government for appointing a health minister in order to tackle the health sector related issues in a smooth manner.

Meanwhile, PTI women wing leaders, Dr Nosheen Hamid Meraj, Dr Zarka, Dr Misbah, Dr Seemi, Talath Naqvi along with a group of party activists in the leadership of Ahsan Rasheed visited Jinnah hospital to express solidarity with the young doctors over the provincial government’s strong arm tactics against the healthcare community.  The delegation urged both the Punjab government and the doctors to solve issues amicably in a bid to end the sufferings of the poor patients.
