2 sack-packed bodies found

LAHORE - The bodies of two men were found stuffed inside sacks and tied to each other with a rope from a drain in Liaquatabad on Thursday.
Investigators say they believe both the men aged 32 to 35 were tortured to death. Police sources said unidentified killers murdered the men somewhere, packed their bodies in two sacks, and fled after throwing them in the drain near Dhallay Flat bust-stop.
Some passersby spotted the bodies on early Thursday and contacted the police by phone. Police reached the spot and removed the bodies to the Jinnah Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
Initial investigation reveals that the victims were kidnapped and then tortured to death a couple of days ago. The kidnappers fled after throwing the bodies in the drain.
“We found sever torture marks on both the dead bodies. We have lodged a double-murder case against unidentified killers,” duty-officer at the Liaqatabad police station said, when contacted.
All the police stations in the area have been alerted and investigators are working to ascertain the identity of the dead. Further investigation is underway.
