Keira Knightley has revealed after tackling singing in her latest movie, she wants to try something completely different - science fiction. The British actress became synonymous with period dramas after lead roles in Pride and Prejudice, Dr Zhivago and Anna Karenina, but her new film Begin Again is a modern romantic comedy set in New York, and sees Keira tackling singing on the big screen as a struggling musician. Now the 29-year-old has confessed she would like to do something completely different next. She told the Daily Mail: ‘I love sci-fi, I want to do a sci-fi that is really dark.’ Keira is no stranger to science fiction, making her film debut as Sabe in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

In Begin Again she plays a songwriter who befriends a washed-up record boss, played by Mark Ruffalo.
