LAHORE - The Anti Corruption authorities on Thursday arrested the Office Superintendent of Inspector General, Punjab Police office red handed while receiving bribe from an ex cop.

Sajjad Hussain, a former police constable, complained to the Anti Corruption authorities that Malik Shafi, the superintendent of IG office, had received Rs13000 for his restoration on job and was demanding Rs7000 more.  An Anti-Corruption director constituted a raiding team and in the presence of Magistrate, the raid was conducted.

Shafi was caught red handed from outside of the IG office while receiving the bribe. A case has been registered against him and further investigation is underway.
