Pakistani climbers make history again

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's favourite daughter Samina Baig, who made history by climbing down world's highest mountain Mount Everest last year, has added another feather to her already decorated cap.
Baig and her fellow climber Mirza Ali, on 28th of last month, managed to summit Mount Mickenly (Denali), one of the highest mountains in North America, Alpine Club of Pakistan official Qarar Haideri informed.
While talking exclusively with The Nation on Thursday, the official said that Samina and Mirza Ali made new history as they are the first Pakistanis to scale down Mount Mickenly. He further said that their achievement was a great honour for the country.
Alpine Club will organise a grand reception in their honor on their return, Haideri concluded.
