On special directions from the Prime Minister, prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged in this month. The Finance Ministry will give an additional subsidy of Rs.510 million to maintain the price levels. However, the holy month requires even more active and practical strategies to extend the benefits of pro-public decisions that can reach out to the general masses. Furthermore, while continuing this healthy trend, the government needs to make long term policies for guarding against the adverse effects of petroleum price hikes.
