ISLAMABAD - Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif failed to woo-in Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad, say media reports.

According to the media reports, the chief minister left for Lahore after holding meetings with Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and later with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He failed to convince the interior minister over his reservations on the recent developments.

Reports say differences emerged between Chaudhry Nisar and senior party leadership over recent developments. The chief minister Punjab held a one-on-one meeting with the interior minister but failed to address the concerns of later.

After holding meeting with Chaudhry Nisar, Shahbaz Sharif met with his elder brother Nawaz Sharif and briefed him about the meeting.
