Experts have forecast the wet spell to continue intermittently during the next couple of days. Rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred on Tuesday in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir and at isolated places in Malakand and Hazara.   According to the experts, seasonal Low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending northeastwards. Monsoon currents from Arabian Sea are continuously penetrating upper and central parts of the country. A westerly wave is also present over upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 48 hours. Local meteorological department forecast rain-thundershower with gusty winds at a number of places in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir, at scattered places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, D I Khan divisions), Sahiwal division, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and at isolated places in Zhob, D G Khan, Bahawalpur and Multan divisions. Heavy falls are also expected at isolated places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Kohat divisions and Kashmir. Kasur received 85mm rains, Sargodha 53mm, Jhelum 49mm, Joharabad 45mm, Malamjabba 41mm, Islamabad 39mm, Muzaffarabad 37mm, Balakot 36mm,Gujrat and Gujranwala 33mm each, Mangla 28mm, Garidupatta 26mm, Rawalpindi 22mm, Murree 20mm, Rawalakot 17mm, Sialkot 16mm, Kakul 13mm,Chakwal and Mandibahaudin 11mm each, Kotli 06mm, Kohat 05mm,Layyah 04mm and Kamra 01mm. –IQTIDAR GILANI
