DASKA - The family members and relatives of the victims of alleged police brutality took out a rally against police officials. They also staged a sit-in as a protest at Kutchery Chowk here. The victim Sain Riaz sat on a donkey-cart and the protesters got it patrolled on all the main inter-city roads. Carrying banners and placards, they chanted anti-police slogans, demanding immediate arrest of politically influential accused police officials. However, they peacefully dispersed after assurance of the early arrest of the accused by senior police officials. Talking to the newsmen in Daska city, the grieved families requested the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab Police Inspector General Javaid Iqbal, Regional Police officer (RPO) Gujranwala Ahmed Mubarak Ahmed and DPO Sialkot Bilal Sadiq Kamiyana to take stern action to ensure early arrest of the accused personnel.
