ISLAMABAD – Sports circles not only lauded Brig Arif Siddiqui for conducting Islamabad Olympic Association (IOA) elections under the new sports policy but also expressed their surprise over retaining Islamabad Football Association (IFA) secretary M Zaman, who has been enjoying fourth term as he has been performing his duties since 2001. On the other hand, IFA president Dr Fazl Rehman, who has also served more than three terms in the office, was not included in the new IOA set up despite he was also the IOA senior vice president previously. When one person is shown the door then why not the other one? They have demanded the IOA president of immediately appointing an ad-hoc committee on the IFA and announce its elections as per new sports policy. –Staff Reporter
