LAHORE (PR): The University of Central Punjab has conducted an awareness seminar about thalassamia by Jehaad for Zero Thalasemia Society in which thalassemic children and their parents were also invited here the other day.
It has been resolved in the seminar that  Punjab government pass a law to make it necessary a thalassemia test before marriage. Jehaad for Zero Thalassemia has started programme in 27 districts and more than 55 universities and colleges.
It has also been started in Khyber Pakhutkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Sindh provinces. Asim Ali Bukhari the chief of ICU department had collected over 1,110 blood bags in one year.
