PESHAWAR- The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) will hold a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) to give a final touch to the government affairs and portfolios. “From JI Central Naib Ameer and Provincial Senior Minister Sirajul Haq and Provincial Ameer Prof Ibrahim will be represented, while PTI would be represented by Chief Minister Khyber Patunkhwa Pervez Khattak and Jehangir Taren,” the JI provincial Spokesman Israrullah said in a press statement issued from Al-Markaz Islami here on Monday.

He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province was facing numerous challenges like poor law and order situations, economic crisis, price rocketing, unemployment and excessive power load-shedding. 

He said to overcome these challenges and devise a comprehensive policy regarding the ongoing military operations in Fata, the situations developed after the US drone strikes, introduction of an effective local bodies system and revolutionary steps in health and education sector, the JI’s dialogue with PTI is moving on in a positive and constructive manner. In the coalition government, the spokesman said that the distribution of ministries was a secondary matter.

He said that due to negative propaganda regarding the Education Ministry, the JI felt necessary to clarify that the PTI central leadership was willing to give the portfolio of the ministry to JI.

Bomb blast injures taxi driver: A person was injured seriously when an explosive device exploded in Hayatabad area of Peshawar on Monday night.

Police said that the time device had been planted in a heap of garbage, which exploded with a big bang in Phase-III area of Hayatabad.  The blast injured a taxi driver, who was shifted to Hayatabad Medical complex. The blast also smashed the windowpanes of the nearby houses in Phase-III square.
