LAHORE- Sports Board Punjab (SBP) announced its 12-member girls team to take part in the in the Pakistan Inter-provincial U-16 Girls Athletics Championship commencing from today (Tuesday) here at the Punjab Stadium.

Punjab team comprises Fatima Hussain, Afeera Naz, Javeria Kiran, Zainab Khan Amna Yusuf, Asiya Ibraheem, Mussarat Bibi, Abida Sadiq, Amina Sadiq, Martha Ghafoor, Mehwish Yasin and Sana Hanif. Rizwana Tareen will be the team manager and Khalid Bhatti, the team coach Director General, SBP, Dr M Salah Tahir will inaugurate the event.

Meanwhile, the SBP announced its U-14 team to take part in the Pakistan U-14 Boys Athletics Championship also starting from today (Tuesday) at the same venue. Hamza Jameel, M Irfan, Hassaan, Chand Zeb, Umer Farooq, Abu Bakr Akber, Mudassir Mushtaq, M Irfan, Ali Raza, Ataa Ullah Khan, M Husnain, Hanzala, Abdullah Tahir, Amir Abbas and Chand Waseem are the members of the team whose manager is Amanat Gill. Fazal Butt will officiate as coach.

The Inter-provincial U-14 Boys Karate Championship will be held also today (Tuesday) at Iqbal Park Sports Complex. The SBP announced its team which has the services of Rehan Safdar, Hassan Ali, Moid, M Sohail, Syed Kazim Raza, Samiullah Khan, Akbar Khan, Shams Usama and Bilal Khan. They will take part in the following categories 50kg, 48kg, 44kg, 40kg and 35kg. M Bashir Butt will be the manager while Abdul Qayum is the coach. The provincial team from Fata, KPK, Sindh, Islamabad, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Balochistan will take part in the events which will continue till June 6.
