On the directions Lahore Chief Traffic Officer, Sohail Chaudhry, the police distributed at least 1000 back-view mirrors among the motorcyclists during a special road-safety campaign in the provincial metropolis on Monday. The awareness campaign has been launched in collaboration with the Atlas Honda company in order to educate the motorcyclists about safe driving. SP City Traffic and the company manager, Tasleem Shuja, distributed one thousand back-view mirrors among the motorcyclists outside the Punjab Assembly on the Mall Road on Monday.

CTO Sohail Chaudhry said that the campaign was launched to sensitize the motorcyclists about the importance of back-view mirrors, which can help avoid road accidents. The traffic police also distributed pamphlets among the motorcyclists to create awareness about road –safety measures. SSP Traffic Sohail Chaudhry has also warned that the police would take action against the violators after June 10 if they would fail to fix back-view mirrors on their two-wheelers.–Staff Reporter
