Karachi -A court in Abu Dhabi has ordered former Ogra chief Tauqir Sadiq to be handed over to Pakistan within a month, a National Accountability Bureau official said on Monday.

The court order against former chief of Pakistan's Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) was given on the request of the Pakistani government.

Tauqir Sadiq has been declared a Proclaimed Offender and is also a principal accused in Rs 82 billion corruption case.

He fled abroad soon after the Supreme Court and declared his appointment as Ogra chief illegal on Nov 25, 2011, and ordered NAB to arrest him.

Sadiq managed to leave the country although his name was on the Exit Control List.
