HAFIZABAD - District administration has prepared comprehensive plan to meet any eventuality during likely flood in the River Chenab.
The district has been divided into six sectors and the district administration in collaboration with provincial disaster management authority and other provincial organisations was fully determined to save human and cattle lives in case of flood.
In this connection about 2200 trained scouts and teachers, besides government officers would perform their religious and moral duties to evacuate marooned people from the river belt area and shift them to safer places.
Addressing meeting to review the flood fighting plan, the DCO Muhammad Usman appreciated the personnel of Civil Defence, Rescue-1122 and Army for saving human and animal lives during the last year flash flood in the river Chenab and expressed his hope that they would improve their performance further.
