The hitmaker is said to have been criticised by local media for her ‘suggestive poses’ and for being ‘scantily’ dressed following her set at the Mawazine music festival in Rabat.
The gig has led to calls for the minister of communication, Mustapha Khalfi, to resign after he allowed the 45-year-old's antics to be broadcast on public television, the BBC stated. Jennifer, who sang in front of 160,000 people, was transmitted with a short delay on the 2M network.
Writing on Twitter, Mustapha Khalfi said he planned to contact the broadcaster's ethics committee to discuss what had happened. ‘What was broadcast is unacceptable and goes against broadcasting law,’ he said. Meanwhile another official from the Justice and Development Party, Abdessamad Al-Idrissi, took to his Facebook page to brand the festival ‘shameful’, Fox News added.
The comments come just days after Jennifer flashed herself as she attended a photocall for the festival. The mother-of-two chose an entirely see-through which fully displayed herself. Jennifer, who headlined the event alongside Pharrell Williams, Sting, Maroon 5 and Usher, added a pink pair of culottes and towering heels. ‘I'm excited for everyone to see my whole show and experience a Moroccan audience for the first time that way,’ the star told the Associated Press.
