Most of the owners of CNG stations are still reluctant to deposit the fee of Rs1.2 million for getting LNG in Gujranwala Division. They said that they had several apprehensions regarding uninterrupted supply of CNG and LNG by the government.
They said that the prevailing uncertainty was keeping the stations’ owners not deposit the LNG fees Rs1.2 per CNG station as announced by the government. They said that the government should also give them surety regarding the uninterrupted provision of CNG and LNG at their stations. They said that they had already invested millions of rupees in their CNG stations but hey later faced prolonged suspension of CNG.
As many as 231 CNG stations owners had refused to deposit Rs1.2 million fees per station, as only four CNG stations had yet deposited this fee in Gujranwala Division.
There are total 363 CNG stations in the region out of which 231 are still lying closed due to non-availability of the CNG by the government.
According to Rana Imtiaz Ahmed, SNGPL Gujranwala senior engineer, 117 CNG gas stations were lying defaulters of SNGPL in different categories in Gujranwala Region while 118 CNG stations had already been cleared by SNGPL regarding the payment of dues.
He added that the supply of CNG and LNG would soon be started to stations which will deposit Rs1.2 million fee.
