LONDON: Apocalypse star James McAvoy got caught up in a very different kind of apocalypse when he visited the Generation Of Z immersive zombie experience.
It seems not even A-List celebrities are safe when it comes to the zombie apocalypse.
Star of stage and screen James McAvoy found himself taken hostage when he attended immersive theatre experience, The Generation of Z: Apocalypse.
The Scot was well and truly thrown straight into the action as he was taken hostage and used as a human shield during one of the scenes by Sarge (actor Gareth Glen). Sporting his newly shaved head for his role as Professor X in X-Men: Apocalypse, McAvoy described the show as ‘absolutely amazing’. Joined by his sister for the night he was at the mercy of the deadly Z virus which has transformed the majority of the global population into a rabid horde of infected zombies.–EXCO
Thankfully McAvoy managed to escape the apocalypse but not without grabbing himself a Zelfie (that¹s a zombie selfie for those of you not in the loop) on the way out. The gruesome show has set up shop in a 25,000 sq ft purpose-built venue in Whitechapel, after frightening the life out of people in New Zealand and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The story centres on five soldiers who come across a group of survivors (the audience) and endeavor to lead them to safety through a maze of zombie-ridden passages.
The survivors are soon split into different groups, each led by one of the soldiers.
