PTI finalises 85 NA candidates of Punjab

LAHORE  -  As the Election Commission of Pakistan starts receiving nomination papers from today, PTI has finalised its candidates for 85 National Assembly constituencies of Punjab.

PTI’s parliamentary board which met at the Banagala residence of party chief Imran Khan on Sunday also finalized names of 11 candidates for National Assembly seats of Sindh and 17 candidates for provincial seats.   

Names of party candidates from Lahore, Kasur, Sahiwal Gujrat, Gujrawala and some other districts will be announced later.

Imran Khan will contest on one National Assembly seat from Rawalpindi and one seat from Mianwali district. Sheikh Rashid will also contest from two Rawalpindi seats. Similarly Shah Mahmood Qureshi will contest from Multan and Ghotki (Sindh) on two National Assembly seats. Ali Tareen, son Jahangir Tareen will contest from his father’s seat from Lodhran.

Sources said that 80 per cent of names were almost final while changes may be made in certain constituencies at a later stage.
