ISLAMABAD - Ministry of Religious Affair and Inter-Faith Harmony has released flights’ schedule for Hajj-2022 on Friday.
According to the ministry’s spokesman, Hajj flights schedule was released for the first Hajj flight which will be departed from Islamabad for Saudi Arabia on June 6.
He said that 32,000 Hajj pilgrims would fly to Saudi Arabia on 106 flights, adding that 42 flights will be operating from Islamabad as part of the ‘Route to Mecca’ project.
The schedule of Hajj-2022 flights has been uploaded on the ministry’s website, and as well as messages regarding the schedule of Hajj flights have also been sent to Hajj aspirants’ cell phones.
The spokesman said that within 72 hours of the flight, Hajj aspirants will be required to undergo Covid-19 PCR tests at six Saudi-approved laboratories. He said that to assist Hajj aspirants, approved laboratory booths have been set up in the Hajj camps, adding that to travel to Saudi Arabia, Hajj pilgrims will need a PCR (negative) test certificate. It must be noted here that the PCR test will cost Rs4,250 for Hajj aspirants.
He said that Hajj aspirants should get their biometric verification done from the nearest centre, and they should also contact the Hajj Camp to get the necessary vaccines, passport, Hajj visa, tickets, and wrist band.
