LAHORE – Director General Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar has said that they have completed all the necessary arrangements to hold marathon races today (Sunday) here in the city in a befitting manner.
During the media briefing here at National Hockey Stadium on Saturday, the DG sports said that all the arrangements were finalised during the meeting regarding fool proof security and traffic plan.
All the TMA’s, traffic police, Tepa, Rescue 1122 and assistant commissioners were present in the meeting while it was also decided in the meeting that the marathon track for ladies will be separate.
DG Usman said that the 17km professional marathon race will start at 8:30 am from Gaddafi Stadium and will finish at the same point. The 3km family fun race, for which more than 15000 people registered their names, will commence from Siddique Trade Centre and will finish at Liberty Chowk.
