KARACHI - Led by Baba Haider Zaman, a delegation of the Tehreek-e-Suba Hazara on Saturday visited Nine-Zero, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s head office.
Besides holding a meeting with Dr Farooq Sattar, Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani and Mrs Nasrin Jalil and others on the MQM Coordination Committee, the delegation also spoke to the MQM chief. Altaf Hussain warmly welcomed Haider Zaman and other delegates. On the occasion, Zaman invited the MQM to their public meeting being held in Karachi.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Dr Farooq Sattar said the MQM had submitted a resolution and a constitutional amendment bill in the National Assembly and Senate for the creation of Hazara and Southern Punjab provinces. “The party will make all-out efforts to get the resolution and bill passed in the coming session of the National Assembly.” Sattar said the MQM would not give up its struggle for getting the usurped rights of the Hazara people.
He said that solidarity and integrity of the country were linked to the creation of Hazara and Seraiki provinces. “It is the time that the rights of the people be recognised and granted.” Baba Haider Zaman said that peace in Karachi was dear to all Pakistanis.
