LAHORE – The Punjab Sports Festival 2012 final phase is in full swing here at the various venues of the city on the fourth day.
In cricket departments’ match played here at Government College Uuniversity Lahore ground, Punjab police played very well and defeated Punjab Board of Technical Education by six runs while Sports Board Punjab team playing brilliantly defeated Director General  Protocol by two runs in a thriller.
In boys’ university football matches, Bahawalpur beat Rawalpindi by five goals to three. Lahore team players played well and guided thier team to a good-margin 5-3 vcitory over Bahawalpur. In college boys’ football matches, Faisalabad thrashed Sargodha 4-0 and Sargodha outclassed Gujranwala 4-0. In kabaddi match, Sargodha University beat Rawalpindi 60-48 while University of Central Punjab Lahore beat Gift University Gujranwala 62-50.
In girls’ hockey matches, Lahore College was given walkover against Gujranwala College and Multan beat Faisalabad 1-0. In girls’ university matches, Bahawalpur beat Faisalabad 2-0 while Punjab University defeated Sargodha University 1-0 and in general public hockey, Lahore beat Faisalabad 3-0.
