BAHAWALPUR - Islamia University Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar said here on Saturday that students of the institution could avail tremendous opportunities for foreign scholarships to meet the growing competition and bring socio-economic prosperity to the country.

While talking to the American Consulate Education Advisor Lubna Anwar Shah and US Educational Foundation Advisor in Pakistan Mehreen Noon at his office, the VC said that Pakistani students possessed rich potential and were able enough to compete their counterparts in foreign schools, adding that what they needed was appropriate opportunities so that they could pursue degrees in undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels abroad. Earlier, the educational experts of the US Consulate provided details about the admission procedure at American universities and highlighted scope of scholarships for faculty and students.

Bio-Chemistry Department Chairman Faizul Hassan Naseem and Career Development Officer Tahira Akhtar were also present on the occasion.
