Lawyers community across the province observed strike and took rallies against the suicide attack on a court which claimed the lives of 12 innocent people including an additional district and sessions judge and four lawyers in Islamabad here on Monday.

According to details, in Sargodha lawyers went on strike in protest against Islamabad terrorist incident. The District Bar Association held an emergent meeting wherein the participants strongly condemned the killing of innocent people. They also demanded the government to trace out the perpetrators and brought them to the book.

Meanwhile lawyers' strike coupled with rain multiplied difficulties of the litigants who came from far-flung areas but had to return empty handed.

In Hafizabad, the District bar Association observed strike against the suicide attack in the Islamabad Court and called upon the government to take stern action to root out terrorism from the country.

On the occasion, DBA President Ch Abid Fayyaz Tarar and General Secretary Malik Nazakat Ali Phularwan strongly condemned the attack at the Islamabad Court and urged the nation to get united against the terrorists to save the country.

They also announced to boycott the courts on Tuesday (today) to protest the suicide attack on the court.

Meanwhile, in Sialkot, lawyers across Sialkot district recorded strong protest against the brutal attack in district & sessions court Islamabad.

Talking to the newsmen DBA President Shahid Mir said that all the dead were martyrs and those who had killed innocent people were fuel of the hell.

He demanded the government to take immediate steps for foolproof security of the bar councils and courts throughout the country. DBA Secretary Ch Mujahid Rasool, VP Ch Muhammad Ali, Joint Secretary Najma Shakeel and dozens of lawyers took part in the protest.

They paid rich tribute to the martyrs and pledged to stand against terrorism to purge the country of this evil.
