ISLAMABAD : On the direction of PM Nawaz Sharif, Capital administration has made arrangements to supply wheat flour at Rs 765 per 20 kilogram in the weekly bazaars of Islamabad. Market price for the flour of same quantity is Rs 880 at present. Wheat flour price has significantly increased in the open market during past few months due to rising price of wheat. PM had directed the capital administration to facilitate masses by providing them wheat flour on affordable price. Not only the weekly bazaars but the administration will supply wheat flour on cheaper rates in the rural areas adjacent to Capital that comes in the administrative boundaries.
The same pattern has already been adopted by the Punjab Government and now it will be replicated in Islamabad too.
It is pertinent to mention here that wheat flour is being sold even at a price of Rs 48 per kilogram in the market. Last year the support price of wheat flour was Rs 1250 per 40 kg. But during the year due to demand and supply factor the wheat price went up to Rs 1600 per 40 kg.
