PML-N is allegedly ignoring rural development as the present government has launched no mega project despite expiration of about a nine-month period in government, residents of PP-297 told their member of Punjab Assembly.

The people including Manzoor and Naveed Akhtar told MPA Murtaza Mehmood that the present government was ignoring them for casting votes in favour of the PPP candidate in the last annual elections.

They further said that the provincial government had not launched development projects in the rural areas of Rahim Yar Khan, Khanpur, Liaqatpur and Sadiqabaf tehsils. They said that the villagers were not being provided with healthcare and jobs while the roads were in dilapidated condition. They demanded that the MPA should play his role for solution to the problems.

Earlier, the MPA visited various areas of his PP-295 constituency where the local people also remonstrated with him against various problems.
