LAHORE: District Administration has started construction of Circular Road and extension of Shah Alam Chowk after retrieving more than one kanal of state land from grabbers which will help in solving traffic problems in the area.

Earlier, the district administration launched Anti-Encroachment Campaign on 18th February and announced to retrieve state land. Under such Anti-Encroachment and state land retrieving campaign, DGBT Administration erased shops constructed on this illegally occupied state land for last 17 years. Soon after demolishing shops, District Administration started construction of the road (which is about to complete) and widening such narrow road, which was causing traffic problems for last many years and people had to face wastage of time, petrol and gas.

Area people, belonging to different walks of life appreciated government’s step and thanked District Administration on solving traffic problems on permanent basis.–Staff Reporter
