LAHORE: Former Punjab CM Pervaiz Elahi has said that PML-N has insulted its lawmakers by taking their ‘oath of loyalty from its  lawmakers on Senate Election day’.

The former Punjab chief minister was talking to media outside Punjab Assembly on Saturday.  “Sharifs have no faith on their party members. It is a matter for shame for the ruling party,” he said.  To a question, He said Ch Shujaat and Moonis Elahi appeared before NAB twice and they will go there whenever called.  He said the courts had given full opportunity to Nawaz Sharif to present proof on money laundering but the ousted prime minister failed.

Opposition parties in Punjab Assembly congratulated PTI’s Ch Muhammad Sarwar on his victory as Senator on general seat. PML-Q, PPP and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders from Punjab in separate statements said Ch Sarwar was a nice human and everyone gave respect to him. According to unofficial results, the former Punjab governor got 44 votes and elected as senator with first position on general category seats.–Staff Reporter
