To be fair to those who display supreme form of cowardice while discharging their duties in the service of the nation, they should be conferred upon with a 'Cowardice Award'. These awardees should be entitled to a multi-coloured set of bangles, which they could wear on important national days. The most deserving awardees in this regard are the members of the National Assembly who approved the bill for Nizam-e-Adl in Swat in face of a death threat by Taliban for anyone who opposed it. Thus, these members, including the generally virulent lady members, did not even utter a word for or against the bill, MQM and Ayaz Mir from Chakwal being the only exceptions. -HUSSAN PARRI, Matta, Swat, via e-mail, April 21.
