Owner of Osamas residence yet to be identified

PESHAWAR- Nobody knows the whereabouts of the owner of the compound where Osama bin Laden had been living for many years before being killed by the US forces in a midnight operation in Abbottabad on Monday night. The six-kanal compound has several rooms, where Osama has been living with some of his family members. The two-storey house, called by locals as 'Waziristan Havaili, in Bilal Town in Abbottabad district is stated to be owned by one Arshad Khan, reportedly a resident of Tangi tehsil of Charsadda district. But, another report says that Arshad Khan s/o Naqeeb is a resident of either South or North Waziristan Agency. According to a third report, Arshad Khan was an Afghan national and had bought the house ten years ago. A copy of identity card of Arshad Khan found from the compound is believed to be a fake one, as reportedly the official record did not have any person registered with that name in that area. So far, no official statement has been issued by the provincial government about the real owner of the house.
