OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHOREThe Lahore High Court has been moved for declaring all the military dictators of the past as 'traitors of the nation for committing the offence of constitutional subversion and overthrowing the civil governments. Gazi Illum ud din advocate has filed the petition contending that General Iskander Ali Mirza, General Muhammad Ayub Khan, General Mohammad Yahya Khan, General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq and General Pervez Musharraf committed sedition and high treason by subverting constitution as such they deserved to be declared as such to correct record of the history and the nation. He prayed to court that in the larger interest of the nation his petition may be admitted to regular hearing. The Federation of Pakistan through Secretary Establishment Islamabad, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan and former president Gen Pervez Musharraf are respondents to the petition. The petitioner also said that since Supreme Court has already declared General Pervez Musharraf a subverter of the constitution, his political party All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) should be banned from taking part in the politics and registration of APML as political party should be annulled forthwith.
