QUETTA - Three people, including two real brothers were killed and two others wounded in Quetta and Kalat towns of Balochistan on Thursday.

According to police, Abdul Aziz along with his brother was on his way to mosque from his residence located on Qambarani Road of Quetta when they were attacked by armed men with sophisticated weapons. As a result, both received multiple wounds and died before reaching hospital.

Police quoting eyewitnesses said the assailants were riding a motorbike and fled from the scene swiftly. “Investigation is under way to unearth the motive behind the killing,” a police official said. Police moved the bodies to hospital for autopsy and later handed them over to heirs for burial.

In another incident, one person was killed and two others wounded in an armed clash in Kalat, some 160 KM from Quetta.

Armed clash erupted between two tribal groups that resulted in death of one Elahi Bakhsh and left two others namely Nisar Ahmed and Abdul Rasool with serious wounds.

Local law enforcing agencies rushed to the site after the incident and took control of area to thwart further clash. The cause behind the incident is stated to be tribal enmity.

Moreover, a blast occurred at bus stop in tehsil Barshor of Pishin district. Resultantly, the windscreens of some buses parked nearby the site were damaged. However, no loss of life was reported in the blast.
