MULTAN - Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Ameer Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar lashed out at the government on Thursday, saying the country was stuck in a horrible quagmire of problems because of poor performance of coalition government.

Talking to the journalists, he added that nothing namely governance existed in the country and the society was governed by jungle’s law. He said that the gap between poor and rich was widening with every passing day because of ill-advised policies of the government. He regretted that thousands of industrial units were shut down across the country because of loadshedding while people committed suicides due to unemployment and poverty.

He said that the corruption chain started from the top-presidency-and went to the bottom. He declared that the country would not make any progress until ruthless accountability of plunderers and looters of national wealth carried out. He said that it was high time that the nation should reject corrupt, ineligible and American slave leadership.

He warned that the rulers had become a serious threat to national security as the crime rate registered horrible increase. He said that dozens of citizens were murdered daily in the country but law enforcing agencies did nothing to stop this massacre.

He said that the masses could not find their real representatives until the landlords and waderas occupied the throne. He asked media to play positive role and create awareness among masses on importance of their vote. He said that only patriot and honest leadership could prevent the country from destruction. He stressed upon the masses to join hands with JI and take to the roads against pro-US policies of the government.
