KARACHI – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz took out a rally against the Lyari operation on Thursday, demanding the government to immediately pull out law enforcers from the area.

Led by PML-N Karachi chief Nehal Hashmi, the rally called on the government to initiate such an action against the illegalities in state-run organisations, such as the PIA, Pakistan Steel Mills and PTCL.

Hashmi said the people of Lyari always stood up against the dictatorial regimes and supported democracy, for which the government was carrying out an operation against them.

He further said the operation should be stopped forthwith and an action be initiated against those permitted the operation in Abbotabad.
