LAHORE – Pakistan Railways is going to resume another two of the suspended trains within a week, said an official of the department on Thursday.
According to the official, Tipu Sultan Express and Faisalabad express would restart their journeys between Lahore and Faisalabad on May 7.
The Railways owing to continuing financial crunch and severe shortages of locomotives had shutdown the operation of dozens of short-distance and express trains in all over he country.
The trains included Dachi Express, Sargodha Express, Rachna Train, Mari Indus, Faisalabad Express, Tipu Sultan, Noor Shah Wali Train and others.
However, the utility is restarting suspended trains operation especially from last six months. It had also introduced two trains with private-public partnership besides starting of shuttle service between Shahdrah and Lahore Railways Station about a two-week ago.
