KARACHI (PR): Kraft Foods Pakistan Limited, the market leader in chocolate and powdered beverages, has announced that it is changing its name to Mondelez Pakistan Limited, effective from April 29, 2013. Mondelez Pakistan Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mondelez International, Inc. (NASDAQ:MDLZ).

Mondelez International is a world leader in chocolate, biscuits, gum, candy, coffee and powdered beverages. The company comprises the global snacking and food brands of Kraft Foods, Inc., which were spun off in October to create Mondelez International.

Mondelez International’s portfolio includes several billion-dollar brands such as Cadbury and Milka chocolate, Jacobs coffee; LU, Nabisco and Oreo biscuits, the Tang powdered beverage and Trident gum. Mondelez International has annual revenue of approximately $35 billion and operations in more than 80 countries.

Mondelez Pakistan Limited, which also previously operated in Pakistan as Cadbury Pakistan Limited, has been doing business in Pakistan since 1993. Its largest-selling and iconic brands in Pakistan include Cadbury Dairy Milk, Tang and Cadbury Eclairs. The company employs more than 200 people in Pakistan, with manufacturing facilities in Hub, Baluchistan, and a distribution network throughout the country.

Over the years, the company has achieved the highest standards of food quality and safety, as acknowledged consecutively since 2006 by consumers through the Consumers’ Choice Award.
