KRL leave for AFC President's Cup

Khan Research Laborites (KRL) Football Club is leaving to Philippine today (Saturday) to play three matches of the AFC President's Cup.
KRL FC is in Group B and they will play all their matches at two venues Cebu City and Philippines from May 8 to 12. The Group B comprises Global FC (Philippine), Dordoi Bishkek FC (Kyrgyzstan), KRL FC (Pakistan) and Yeedzin FC (Combodia). KRL will play its first match against Dordoi Bishkek FC on 8th, second with Global FC on 10th and third last match with Yeedzin FC on 12th.  The top two teams in each group would proceed to play in the finals to be held in September 23-29, whereby the six teams would be divided into two groups of three, with the winners of each group advancing to the final.
Talking to The Nation on Friday, KRL team manager Ayaz Butt said: “We always play fair game and believe in hard work. All the players are fully fit and in a good nick. We are hopeful our team will play positive game and will put extra effort to reach final.”
 Sharing his views, Tariq Lutfi looked very sanguine about the performance of KRL team and said: “KRL team has the potential to beat any club participating in this tournament. Most of our players have already played against Yeedzin FC, Dorkoi Bishkek FC in the last couple of years.”
KRL squad: Nabi Shahid, M Shahid, M Zeeshan, Kamran Khan (vc), Samar Ishaq (capt), Abbas Hussnain, Ziaul Salam, Mahmood Khan, M Rizwan Asif, M Qasim, Kaleemullah, M Usman Mohkum, Ahsan Ullah, Saddam Hussain, Yasir Afridi, M Abid Khan, Bilawalur Rehman, M Adil, Saquib Hanif, Saeed Mudasar, Saad Ullah, Saeed, Mumtaz Tanveer and Ghulam Nabi.
