Pakistan has urged India to ensure protection of Pakistani prisoners languishing in their jails.

Foreign Office spokesman Aziz Ahmad Chaudhry in an interview Saturday asked India to arrange safe return of those prisoners who have completed terms of their punishment.

He said Pakistan is considering sending family members of wounded Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah to India. He said Sanaullah who is in critical condition at a hospital in India after attacked in a jail in Jammu is an innocent person.

About Sarabjit Sindh the Spokesman said that he was a terrorist who broken the law and martyred many innocent citizens of Pakistan.

He said "we have concerns over the health condition of Sanaullah but at this stage it would be dangerous to shift him. However‚ we are considering shifting him to Pakistan."
