LAHORE - Following directions by the party chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and provincial president Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, PML-Q Punjab leadership have planned to take out rallies in 12 districts of the province on Sunday (today) to express solidarity with Pakistan Army and condemn the propaganda against the guardians of national frontiers.
PML-Q Punjab spokesperson Seemal Kamran said Saturday that ambit of these rallies would be extended to more districts of Punjab and other parts of the country with the consent and advice of party’s high command, Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi.
The rally in provincial capital to be led by Mian Munir will start from Muslim League House and culminate at Press Club.
Raja Basharat will lead the rally in Rawalpindi, Ch Zaheerud Din in Faisalabad, Ch Shafaat Hussain in Gujrat, Ch Farrukh Altaf in Jhelum, Amir Sultan Cheema in Sargodha, Zafar Ullah Cheema in Gujranwala, Khurram Manj in Sheikhupura, Tariq Bashir Cheema in Bahawalpur, Mushtaq Ahmed in Multan, Asif Nakai in Kasur and Chaudhry Riaz Asghar in Mandi Bahauddin.
Meanwhile, notable political figure of Faisalabad, Khalid Mustafa Bajwa, along with his supporters announced to join the PML-Q during a meeting with Ch Pervaiz Elahi at his residence.
Welcoming Khalid Bajwa and his colleagues into party fold, Pervaiz Elahi said they believed in politics of service to the masses and tolerance and would never leave their friends.
He said he had provided maximum opportunities of employment to the people along with progress and prosperity and most modern facilities and amenities during his stint in power.
Pervaiz said PML-Q government made possible the provision of rescue services to the people, which included the Rescue 1122 as well as hospitals, schools and colleges, besides establishing police patrolling posts, provision of free education and medicines at public hospitals.
