Scores of people protested against the corruption allegedly committed by various Anti-Corruption Establishment officials, and staged a sit-in in front of ACE regional Directorate at Waqar Canteen Chowk.
The people took to the streets, carrying banners and placards, chanted slogans against corruption of ACE DG Khan Director Ch Muhammad Azam and Assistant Director (Technical) Fikhar Bilal.
The protesters demanded that the Punjab chief minister should take action against the “corrupt” director and his assistant.  Talking to The Nation, Fazal Hussain blamed that Director Azam received five percent illegal gratification in each case. Corrupt mafia had fixed Rs50,000 for hiding files and Rs200,000 for clearance of inquiry, he alleged. He had also submitted complaints to Director General Anti Corruption Punjab Lahore, Director Anti Corruption DG Khan and District & Session Judge of DG Khan, he said.
Fazal added that Fikhar Bilal has been sub engineer of District Building Department DG Khan some year ago; Fikhar used his power of money and got him transferred as Assistant Director Technical in Anti Corruption Department DG Khan to “conceal his corruption”.
The protester said Fikhar was a poor person but now he had one bungalow-cum-Modern Hospital at Shah Sikander Road and other properties at Multan and jampur roads, he detailed. He had many luxury cars, a big sanitary store in city and also bank balances, the complainant said.
Fazal added that Fikhar had been re-transferred to District Building Department DG Khan but he did not want to re-join the Building Department due to looting huge money in Anti corruption Department. Fikhar was main bargaining correspondent of Director Azam for each party, he alleged.
Fazal blamed that Fikhar had received heavy amount as illegal gratification from contractors of TMA DG Khan Ghulam Murtaz Pitafi and Faheem Ahmed Shah with coordination of SDO TMA Mian Muhammad Mustahasan and Deputy Director Technical Anti Corruption Mian Muhammad Azfar during inquiries against said contractors of TMA.
Ch Azam had illegally closed, even without hearing, an inquiry against contractor Faheem. Fazal including protesters namely Nasrullah Khan, Bilal Hussain, M Ismial, Khalil Ahmed, Fayyaz Ahmed, Imtiaz Ahmed, Mumtaz Ahmed, Abid Hussain, Jan Muhammad, Zaffar Hussain, Muhammad Afzal, Saad Ullah, Farooq Ahmed, Akhter Hussain, Kazim Ali and other residents of Block No. 47, Y, Pakistani chowk and Nazamabad demanded that the chief minister should take action against the accused.
A teacher namely Abdullah Khan from Jampur said, “It is the poor who are the worst affected by corruption in Pakistan, otherwise strong class can get what they need by paying money.” He added the denial of corruption had become the norm in the society.  When contacted, Anti Corruption DG Khan Director Ch Muhammad Azam said denied the allegations.
