Foreign reserves rise to $17.7 billion

KARACHI:  -  Total liquid foreign reserves of the country stand at 17,713 billion dollars, said State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday. According to a SBP's weekly statement, the foreign reserves held by the State Bank on April 27 amounted to $11,510.3 million and the net foreign reserves with commercial banks were $6,202.6 million. During the week ending April 27, SBP's reserves increased by $593 million to $11,510 million. The increase in SBP's reserves is due to official inflows.–APP
