If the US air strike on a post in Khost, bordering Pakistan, on 21October, 2008, killing 9 Afghan soldiers, was a mistake and not deliberate, why did they strike uniformed personnel? You see Taliban do not wear a uniform at all and never fight by making a permanent posts anywhere. Therefore, in all likelihood, the USAF attacked the post in question deliberately, thinking it to be a Pakistani military post. When they realized they had attacked an Afghan military post, they announced the 'mistake'. Otherwise, they probably wanted to kill our army men 'by mistake'. -SAJID ANSARI, via e-mail, October 23.
